Moonlight Sonata

The moon wakes
and gently bows her head
to bestow upon the Earth
Her celestial kiss—
A blessing ...
And she wakes me
From my silent reverie.
Adorn me in your silken mist
And cloak my ashen form.
Caress me—
Forever more.
Create a moonlit gown of orchids
To encompass my moon-kissed skin
A crown of silvery dewdrops
Upon my golden head
Here in my starlight palace,
To the midnight,
I thee wed.
Brush against my tear-stained cheek,
Kiss my pain away ...
Let the whispered breeze
take it all away.
And by the shadows of your night—
I cling to your midnight song
And right here,
In this world,
I can do no wrong.
and gently bows her head
to bestow upon the Earth
Her celestial kiss—
A blessing ...
And she wakes me
From my silent reverie.
Adorn me in your silken mist
And cloak my ashen form.
Caress me—
Forever more.
Create a moonlit gown of orchids
To encompass my moon-kissed skin
A crown of silvery dewdrops
Upon my golden head
Here in my starlight palace,
To the midnight,
I thee wed.
Brush against my tear-stained cheek,
Kiss my pain away ...
Let the whispered breeze
take it all away.
And by the shadows of your night—
I cling to your midnight song
And right here,
In this world,
I can do no wrong.
