Left to die a slow death on a South China Sea beach,
the old ships' beam protruded from the sand.
Tides would tease it with freedom,
lapping the boards with its' salty brine,
only to dash its' hopes as the waters ebbed.
Year after year, its anguish went on,
seeking refuge upon the great sea
yet dying a slow death in its' desertion.
I returned a few years ago.
Never thought I would.
The old ship was my first thought arriving.
It represented my own struggles in the war.
But now it was gone,
and I alone, to recall it.

...Just being Bluesy

I felt calmed by this. There was a certain peace that exuded from your words. I love the contrast of something dying/dead to the ocean, which is ever-changing and full of life. Maybe not even contrast, but coexistence, or better yet the lifeless ship being overtaken and consumed by the life-filled ocean. I'm sure the more I study it, the more I shall find. I like that.

BEAUTIFUL! :D
