Girl in the window
wearing a handsome dress,
does the return of my stare
mean you know me?
Girl in the window,
you afford my time with grace,
listening to my thoughts
without analytical appraisals.
Perhaps one day we'll meet
when these walls lose their authority
and my eyes will once again be free
from the steel panes of my troubled mind.
