I've recently taken a renewed interest in learning conversational Spanish, since I've forgotten most of the (generally useless anyway) Spanish I learned back in high school a few years ago. I'm also interested in learning some Latin.

I was wondering what languages (other than English) anyone around here spoke, and about any ones that you're trying to learn (and why!).

Just English for me. I've never really been all that interested in learning anything else, since everyone I know (IRL and on the 'net) speaks English.

I used to speak a little and understand a bit of army Dutch and German but so many years ago now that the two languages get mixed up if I try nowadays.

Some German, and also Vietnamese and Korean to various degrees. I once held a teaching certificate for Conversational English which I taught in a Middle & High school in Dong Du Chon, South Korea. During my tours in Vietnam, I went as I could to language classes. This was an extremely difficult language for me to grasp. What I learned of it took me no further than what a three or four year old Vietnamese child could relate. But mostly, friends grew not from my limited ability, but from the dogged effort I put forth, which to them was obvious. I still chuckle inside when I see the faces of those children in my mind's eye.
