hopes rest

from the inside of the acorn
to the backside of the bark

...only looking in

hopes lay

in the new rings of another age
exchanged for Now from then

...unseen from the outside of the bark

thought calmed

beneath the blankets of winters' rain
silent snows of exhaled breath

...as still as an unsung lullaby

...Just being Bluesy
