I opened an old book,
and out of it
fell a four-leaf clover.
Was it marking a verse?
Saved for posterity?

I surmised that it had been forgotten.
And in my conclusion,
I realized at last
what a haiku moment was.

A moment that came and left...
As moments do.
To be forgotten then,
and perhaps in time
returned to you.

The gentle hand
that placed the clover
between the pages
is now gone,
along with that precious moment.

Let the moments we share
never be forgotten,
though they may pass.
May they rest well, like the clover,
until we meet again.

...Just being Bluesy
