Crisp and clear,
each note
of this
lovers waltz
we hear.
From across
the great hall,
we make way
to one another.
With an ever so
subtle smile,
you reach out
your hand,
and I draw it
to my lips,
and place
my arm slowly
about your waist.
We begin to move
with each other,
and without
so much as a flutter,
our eyes fill themselves
in the moment.
"I am yours,
and you are mine,"
they seem to say
to each other, if only
for this time together.
Then, all too soon
the music slowly
begins to fade,
and as it does,
we fade away along with it,

....until I can see you no more.

Never bet on a loser,
Unless you want to win.
