Wishes reaching out
among the stars
How I await
their return
from the quiet
of my heart
Those wishes
that were once dreams
floating above me
while I lay upon a sea
of goose feathers
Light leaking through
the lashes that promised
protection against the
truth of my lonely heart
betray me now
with good intention
that another promise
will be fulfilled
when the stars shine once more
and return my wishes to me
